Sfruttando un liquido propellente agli ioni, non tossico, e propulsori della dimensione di un francobollo, il sistema TILE risulta pi\u00f9 piccolo, pi\u00f9 leggero e pi\u00f9 efficiente dal punto di vista dei costi rispetto ai motori agli ioni tradizionali.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cLa tecnologia messa a punto da Accion potr\u00e0 aiutare ad apportare un cambio alle regole di funzionamento di satelliti e altri veicoli dello spazio<\/em> \u2013 ha dichiarato <strong>Brian Schettler<\/strong>, managing director di Boeing HorizonX Ventures \u2013. <em>Investire in start up di nuova generazione pu\u00f2 accelerare le innovazioni nella tecnologia satellitare, aprendo nuove possibilit\u00e0 e profitti economici sia nell\u2019orbita terrestre che nello spazio profondo\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Fondata nel 2014 da due ingegneri del <strong>Massachusetts Institute of Technology<\/strong>, Accion sta ridefinendo il concetto di propulsione spaziale.
