{"id":161,"date":"2018-07-21T13:47:58","date_gmt":"2018-07-21T13:47:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spazio-news.it\/?p=161"},"modified":"2018-09-04T18:04:33","modified_gmt":"2018-09-04T18:04:33","slug":"farnborough-international-airshow-deals-show-confidence-in-global-trade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/spazio-news.it\/?p=161","title":{"rendered":"FARNBOROUGH AIRSHOW DEALS SHOW CONFIDENCE IN TRADE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2018 <strong>Farnborough International Airshow<\/strong> has seen <strong>US $192bn in deals<\/strong>, <strong>up by $67.5bn<\/strong> on the <strong>2016<\/strong> Airshow.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>1,400 commercial aircraft<\/strong> were ordered at the <strong>show valued at $154bn<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>1,432 engines<\/strong> were ordered <strong>worth $21.96bn<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u201cGoing into the show, the industry backlog is at a record high, in excess of <strong>14,000 aircraft<\/strong> on the books. The major deals announced this week demonstrate how confident the aerospace industry is and the role of Farnborough as an <strong>economic barometer<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 Said Farnborough International Chief Executive, Gareth Rogers -. <em>This show brings the global aerospace world together for an intense but important week. Manufacturers, airlines, financiers, military and government representatives; they\u2019re all here. Six months\u2019 worth of meetings can take place in a week, it\u2019s a highly productive place to be. <\/em>The Farnborough International Airshow continues to be at the epicentre of the aerospace community and we look forward to growing this pivotal role over the next two years as we head towards the <strong>2020 Airshow<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Coming 37 weeks before Brexit, the show attracted its most global attendance ever with around <strong>100 countries in attendance and record Chinese presence<\/strong>. There was also a rise in trade visitors of nearly ten percent compared to previous years, more than <strong>80,000 visitors passed through the gates<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Delegations Programme saw major <strong>growth up by 20 percent<\/strong> with a total of <strong>156 civil and military delegations<\/strong>; <strong>military delegations saw a rise of 30 percent to 133<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The airline customer asserted itself with 163 percent increase in attendance. Ten airline CEOs attended a roundtable event, including Christine Ourmieres-Widener of Flybe and Calin Rovinescu of Air Canada.<\/p>\n<p>As the home of pioneering spirit, the Farnborough International Airshow has always sought to bring innovation to the forefront.
