{"id":1710,"date":"2018-10-22T05:01:18","date_gmt":"2018-10-22T04:01:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spazio-news.it\/?p=1710"},"modified":"2018-10-20T19:01:15","modified_gmt":"2018-10-20T18:01:15","slug":"drone-boeing-signs-eu-network-manifesto-of-u-space","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/spazio-news.it\/?p=1710","title":{"rendered":"DRONE: BOEING SIGNS EU NETWORK MANIFESTO OF U-SPACE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.boeing.com\/\">Boeing<\/a> joined the <strong>European Network<\/strong> <strong>of<\/strong> <strong>U-Space Demonstrators<\/strong>, a Europe-wide platform for aggregating early <strong>Unmanned Aircraft Systems &#8211; UAS<\/strong> <strong>airspace<\/strong> management initiatives, launched by <strong>Violeta Bulc<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.istiee.org\/te\/\">European Commissioner for Transport<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>By signing the <strong>EU Network Manifesto<\/strong>, Boeing deepens its existing partnership with the <strong>European Commission<\/strong>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easa.europa.eu\/\">European Aviation Safety Agency &#8211; EASA<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sesarju.eu\/\">SESAR Joint Undertaking &#8211; SJU<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurocontrol.int\/\">Eurocontrol<\/a> and others, and adds a global dimension to the newly established European Network of U-Space Demonstrators.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWith increasing urbanization, a growing global population, aging infrastructure and the explosion of ecommerce, there is a need for new, sustainable and accessible modes of transportation. Boeing has more than a century of experience safely introducing and integrating new technologies and vehicles,\u201d<\/em> said Mildred Troegeler, director, Global Airspace Integration Strategy &amp; Execution. <em>\u201cThe EU network of demonstrators will allow regulators and industry to learn from each other and to make the new frontier of transport a reality without compromising safety.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Network\u2019s objective is to step up future technology and the associated regulatory framework, triggering a whole spectrum of new and highly innovative businesses and service opportunities in the UAS marketplace, in particular <strong>Beyond Visual Line of Sight &#8211; BVLOS<\/strong> and automated operations.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u201cAviation matters, and the future of aviation matters even more,\u201d <\/em>said Brian Moran, vice president, Government Affairs Europe, Boeing.\u00a0<em> \u201cThat is why we are proud to support the Commission and its partners on important initiatives like these, building on our growing footprint and regulatory engagement here in Europe.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Boeing is leading the charge in creating fundamental changes to solve for the transportation challenges of the future. Perhaps the biggest challenge is the need for a new kind of global airspace that is safe, reliable and robust enough to accommodate diverse vehicles, whether they are piloted or autonomous.
