{"id":3273,"date":"2019-02-13T11:44:33","date_gmt":"2019-02-13T10:44:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spazio-news.it\/?p=3273"},"modified":"2019-02-21T18:50:32","modified_gmt":"2019-02-21T17:50:32","slug":"boeing-delivers-first-kc-46a-tanker-to-altus-air-force","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/spazio-news.it\/?p=3273","title":{"rendered":"BOEING DELIVERS FIRST KC-46A TANKER TO ALTUS AIR FORCE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Boeing delivered its <strong>fifth KC-46A Pegasus tanker<\/strong> to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.airforce.com\/\">U.S. Air Force<\/a><\/strong>, the <strong>first<\/strong> that will be based at <strong>Altus Air Force Base<\/strong>, Okla.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>KC-46<\/strong> departed Seattle\u2019s Boeing Field for Altus, where the base\u2019s <strong>56<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Air Refueling Squadron<\/strong> is responsible for Pegasus <strong>aircrew<\/strong>, <strong>maintenance<\/strong> and <strong>support training<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe\u2019re excited to see the Pegasus arrive in Oklahoma, a strong partner to Boeing and America\u2019s military &#8211; <\/em>said Boeing Defense, Space &amp; Security President and CEO Leanne Caret -. <em>We look forward to continuing to deliver KC-46 tankers to Altus, McConnell Air Force Base in Kansas, and New Hampshire\u2019s Pease Air National Guard Base, throughout this year.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The 56<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0ARS was activated <strong>August 2016<\/strong> in preparation for the new tanker\u2019s arrival. <strong>Three additional KC-46A aircraft will be delivered to Altus in the coming weeks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe \u2018Mighty 97th\u2019 is looking forward to accepting and integrating the KC-46 into our mission &#8211; <\/em>Col.
