L\u2019esercitazione ha visto la <strong>portaerei Cavour<\/strong> e il suo complemento di <strong>velivoli da caccia AV-8B Plus<\/strong> insieme al <strong>cacciatorpediniere <\/strong>della Marina<strong> Mimbelli<\/strong> contro <strong>droni M-40<\/strong> che simulavano differenti tipi di minacce.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;<strong>M-40 <\/strong>\u00e8 un <strong>velivolo pilotato a distanza<\/strong> capace di <strong>simulare <\/strong>fedelmente un\u2019ampia gamma di <strong>aerei<\/strong> e <strong>missili<\/strong>, incluse <strong>minacce radar, all\u2019infrarosso &#8211; IR e visibili<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Offre <strong>prestazioni medio-alte<\/strong> a costi paragonabili a quelli di <strong>droni di fascia basica <\/strong>dei competitor. Nel corso dell\u2019esercitazione, l&#8217;M-40 ha riprodotto un <strong>attacco missilistico <\/strong>contro le navi militari italiane ed \u00e8 stato neutralizzato dal personale della Marina.<\/p>\n<p>Il sistema, che \u00e8 <strong>riutilizzabile<\/strong>, ha consentito in questo modo agli operatori di esercitarsi contro sistemi d&#8217;arma come i <strong>missili Aspide<\/strong> in uno scenario estremamente realistico.<\/p>\n<p>Grazie ai <strong>costi operativi contenuti<\/strong> e alla <strong>piena autonomia di 60 minut<\/strong>i, inoltre, l&#8217;M-40 \u00e8 stato in grado di fornire lo stesso livello di addestramento delle esercitazioni precedenti a fronte di una <strong>significativa riduzione della spesa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Leonardo gestisce e utilizza l&#8217;M-40 per conto delle <strong>Forze Armate italiane<\/strong>, nell&#8217;ambito di un <strong>contratto di servizio con la NATO Support and Procurement Agency &#8211; NSPA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Insieme all\u2019M-40, <strong>Leonardo<\/strong> continuer\u00e0 a offrire anche il <strong>Mirach 100\/<\/strong><strong>5<\/strong> per simulare le minacce di pi\u00f9 <strong>alto livello<\/strong> che le Forze Armate moderne devono fronteggiare;
