{"id":3680,"date":"2019-03-19T04:38:25","date_gmt":"2019-03-19T03:38:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spazio-news.it\/?p=3680"},"modified":"2019-03-17T16:40:59","modified_gmt":"2019-03-17T15:40:59","slug":"indra-will-equip-eight-argentine-airports-with-new-ils","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/spazio-news.it\/?p=3680","title":{"rendered":"INDRA WILL EQUIP EIGHT ARGENTINE AIRPORTS WITH NEW ILS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.indracompany.com\/\">Indra<\/a> will equip <strong>eight<\/strong> <strong>Argentine airports<\/strong>, including <strong>Ushuaia Airport<\/strong>, the southernmost city on the planet, with new <strong>instrument landing systems &#8211; ILS<\/strong> that will increase <strong>operational safety in low visibility conditions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>After winning this <strong>contract<\/strong>, the company now has a total of <strong>29 ILS systems installed<\/strong> in airports throughout the country.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ILS systems<\/strong> help <strong>aircraft<\/strong> <strong>to determine the glide slope to the head of the runway<\/strong> with total accuracy, helping to <strong>land<\/strong> <strong>in bad weather conditions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Its implementation will significantly <strong>improve the<\/strong> <strong>capacity of airports<\/strong>, such as <strong>Ushuaia Airport<\/strong>, to provide a better service, especially in winter, when snowfall can hinder operations and even force the closure of facilities.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, <strong>Cordoba Airport<\/strong>, one of the most important airports in the country, will have a <strong>maximum level ILS (CAT III)<\/strong>, which will allow it <strong>to operate with<\/strong> <strong>virtually zero visibility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the airports will be equipped with <strong>ILS CAT II systems<\/strong>. Specifically, the airports to be equipped will be: <strong>Tucum\u00e1n<\/strong>, located to the north of the country; <strong>Bariloche<\/strong>, located in the Andean region to the south; <strong>Mar del Plata<\/strong>, on the Atlantic coast of the province of Buenos Aires;
