Thales Alenia Space<\/a> and Gazprom Space Systems<\/a> announce that the Yamal-601 satellite<\/strong> started its transition to the geostationary orbit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The specialists are implementing the in orbit raising backup strategy, in line with the operating documentation and focusing on the safety of the spacecraft<\/strong>. The first manoeuver lasted about two hours and was successful. All the parameters of the satellite are nominal.<\/p>\n

The flight program provides for multiple repetitions of such maneuvers. The estimated time of arrival in the required position in the geostationary orbit<\/strong> (49 degrees E<\/strong>) is expected at end of June<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
