{"id":5008,"date":"2019-06-26T04:15:37","date_gmt":"2019-06-26T03:15:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spazio-news.it\/?p=5008"},"modified":"2026-01-29T19:51:11","modified_gmt":"2026-01-29T18:51:11","slug":"gkn-extends-its-business-with-pratt-whitney","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/spazio-news.it\/?p=5008","title":{"rendered":"GKN EXTENDS ITS BUSINESS WITH PRATT &#038; WHITNEY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GKN Aerospace announce that it <strong>has signed an agreement<\/strong> between its <strong>subsidiary GKN Fokker Elmo<\/strong> and Pratt &amp; Whitney &#8211; PW to continue the <strong>design<\/strong>, <strong>supply<\/strong>, and <strong>support<\/strong> of <strong>Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems<\/strong> for more than <strong>30 aircraft engine programs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cSince 1998 we have been in a successful and valuable relationship with Pratt &amp; Whitney &#8211; <\/em>Mr. John Pritchard, CEO of GKN Aerospace ASEA, stated at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spazio-news.it\/\">Spazio-News Magazie<\/a> -.<em> Through the signing of this long-term contract, we are proud and look forward to extending this into the next 30 years.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pratt &amp; Whitney<\/strong> is a world leader in the design, manufacture and service of <strong>aircraft engines<\/strong> and <strong>auxiliary power units<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>contract<\/strong> covers a variety of <strong>turboprop<\/strong>, <strong>turboshaft<\/strong> and <strong>turbofan engines<\/strong> for the complete <strong>service life<\/strong> of those programs.<\/p>\n<p>The work will take place at <strong>GKN Fokker Elmo<\/strong> facilities in the <strong>Netherlands<\/strong> and <strong>China<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Deliveries to <strong>Pratt &amp; Whitney\u2019s Final Assembly Line<\/strong> will continue as previously defined.<\/p>\n<p>This new contract builds on a more than 20-year relationship between the two companies. GKN Fokker Elmo is also a UTC Gold Supplier since June 2010, and delivers the <strong>Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems<\/strong> for all <strong>Pratt &amp; Whitney Geared TurboFan &#8211; GTF engines<\/strong>, which are under contract with Collins Aerospace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GKN Aerospace announce that it has signed an agreement between its subsidiary GKN Fokker Elmo and Pratt &amp;
