Dopo l&#8217;arrivo, il <strong>veicolo spaziale<\/strong> sar\u00e0 preparato per il lancio che avverr\u00e0 a <strong>met\u00e0 dicembre<\/strong> tramite un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/audience\/forstudents\/k-4\/stories\/nasa-knows\/what-is-the-soyuz-spacecraft-k-4\/\">lanciatore Soyuz<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.airbus.com\">Airbus<\/a> si occuper\u00e0 delle <strong>operazioni di lancio<\/strong> e della <strong>messa in orbita <\/strong>del<strong> satellite<\/strong> oltre che della sua <strong>messa in servizio<\/strong>, dopo la quale il <strong>satellite<\/strong> sar\u00e0 consegnato all&#8217;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.esa.int\/ita\/ESA_in_your_country\/Italy\">Agenzia Spaziale Europea &#8211; ESA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Il <strong>satellite CHEOPS<\/strong> \u00e8 il risultato della partnership tra l\u2019<strong>ESA<\/strong> e la <strong>Svizzera<\/strong>. La missione analizzer\u00e0, per almeno <strong>tre anni e mezzo<\/strong>, il transito degli <strong>esopianeti<\/strong> davanti alle loro <strong>stelle<\/strong>. Il satellite operer\u00e0 su un&#8217;<strong>orbita esosincrona <\/strong>a un&#8217;<strong>altitudine <\/strong>di<strong> 700 km<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CHEOPS<\/strong> \u00e8 il <a href=\"http:\/\/www.esa.int\/\">primo satellite dell&#8217;ESA<\/a> a studiare gli <strong>esopianeti<\/strong>. \u00c8 interessante notare che uno dei primi <strong>europei<\/strong> a studiare gli <strong>esopianeti<\/strong>, <strong>Michel Mayor<\/strong>, la scorsa settimana, a <strong>Madrid<\/strong>, \u00e8 stato insignito del premio <strong>Nobel per la Fisica<\/strong>.
