{"id":7089,"date":"2019-11-11T08:23:33","date_gmt":"2019-11-11T07:23:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spazio-news.it\/?p=7089"},"modified":"2026-01-29T19:43:59","modified_gmt":"2026-01-29T18:43:59","slug":"france-successful-first-tests-for-airbus-new-delivery-by-drones","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/spazio-news.it\/?p=7089","title":{"rendered":"FRANCE: SUCCESSFUL FIRST TESTS FOR AIRBUS NEW DELIVERY BY DRONES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A <strong>multi UAVs combined flight tracked<\/strong> by a fleet management station was successfully tested at the <a href=\"http:\/\/evalley.fr\/\">E-Valley Park<\/a>, on the site of the former <strong>Cambrai airbase<\/strong> in northern <strong>France<\/strong> as part of the test campaign phase to assess economic development of <strong>Unmanned Aerial Vehicles &#8211; UAVs<\/strong> <strong>air deliveries<\/strong> respecting a given route.<\/p>\n<p>A <strong>fixed-wing<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.survey-copter.com\/\">Survey Copter<\/a> <strong>DVF200ER thermal propulsion<\/strong> high endurance versatile system, and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dronevolt.com\/\">Drone Volt<\/a> <strong>VTOL &#8211; Vertical Take Off and Landing<\/strong> electric <strong>mini UAV<\/strong> specifically equipped with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.airbus.com\/\">Airbus<\/a> <strong>avionics<\/strong>, both successfully demonstrated via the simulation of a <strong>delivery mission<\/strong>, the feasibility of such <strong>logistic flights<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u201cWe are extremely pleased with the results of this very innovative cooperation with this northern Province of France and the French and European aviation authorities, opening new doors to a promising cargo UAVs business<\/em> &#8211; said at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spazio-news.it\/\">Spazio-News Magazine<\/a> <strong>Nicolas Askamp, Head of Airbus drones subsidiary Survey Copte<\/strong>r -. <em>It is actually a whole new reflection on drone flights, over semi-urban and surrounding countryside environments and into the principles of fleet management over these particular territories\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.airbus.com\/\">Airbus<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hautsdefrance.fr\/\">Hauts-de-France Region<\/a> via its innovation and development agency (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hautsdefrance-id.fr\/\">Hauts-de-France Innovation D\u00e9veloppement &#8211; HDFID<\/a>) joined forces in <strong>June<\/strong> this year under a <strong>framework<\/strong> <strong>agreement<\/strong> to assess the economic <strong>development<\/strong> potential of the <strong>autonomous air mobility<\/strong> on a regional scale.<\/p>\n<p>Three different phases mark the <strong>project study<\/strong>. The first one, the study phase, including needs, <strong>commercial<\/strong> and <strong>regulatory<\/strong> <strong>aspects<\/strong>, occurred between June and July this past summer. The current phase is a <strong>three months test campaign<\/strong>, which will be followed by a phase of <strong>synthesis<\/strong> and <strong>projection<\/strong> for <strong>potential later development<\/strong>, including a <strong>demonstrator<\/strong>. This study is carried out in coordination and with the support of the Directorate General for Civil Aviation &#8211; DGAC.<\/p>\n<p>France\u2019s regulatory framework is particularly favourable to this kind of study as they enhance standard scenarios which are subsequently submitted to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easa.europa.eu\/\">European Authority for aviation safety &#8211;
