{"id":7099,"date":"2019-11-18T08:20:16","date_gmt":"2019-11-18T07:20:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spazio-news.it\/?p=7099"},"modified":"2019-11-10T19:26:31","modified_gmt":"2019-11-10T18:26:31","slug":"thales-is-to-guarantee-critical-airnav-tasks-for-the-ejercito-del-aire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/spazio-news.it\/?p=7099","title":{"rendered":"THALES IS TO GUARANTEE CRITICAL AIRNAV TASKS FOR THE EJ\u00c9RCITO DEL AIRE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thalesgroup.com\/\">Thales Spain<\/a> in <strong>Spain<\/strong> has been awarded a contract for the supply of <strong>Critical Navigation Information Systems &#8211; CNIS<\/strong> by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ejercitodelaire.mde.es\/EA\/ejercitodelaire\/es\/\">Ej\u00e9rcito del Aire<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>This new contract reinforces Thales\u2019s cooperation with the Ej\u00e9rcito del Aire<\/em> \u2013 said at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spazio-news.it\/\">Spazio-News Magazine<\/a> <strong>Jes\u00fas S\u00e1nchez Bagos, CEO of Thales Spain<\/strong> -. <em>As ever, our aim is to offer quality technology, assuring the lifecycle of equipment and the safety of the most critical navigation operations.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In line with the <strong>Air Force<\/strong>\u2019s comprehensive plan for <strong>radio<\/strong> <strong>aids<\/strong>, Thales is to replace the <strong>TACtical Air Navigation &#8211; TACAN systems<\/strong> providing bearing and <strong>distance information<\/strong> <strong>to<\/strong> <strong>military<\/strong> <strong>aircraft<\/strong> fitted with <strong>onboard<\/strong> <strong>receivers<\/strong> for <strong>communication<\/strong> with <strong>ground equipment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Thales engineers and technicians, with extensive experience in <strong>civil<\/strong> and <strong>military<\/strong> <strong>navigation<\/strong> <strong>systems<\/strong> at various <strong>spanish airports<\/strong>, will carry out the upgrade, dismantling the old equipment, fitting the new <strong>TACAN<\/strong> <strong>systems<\/strong> and adapting existing facilities.<\/p>\n<p>The equipment will be operational by<strong> 2021<\/strong> on various <strong>runways<\/strong> to<strong> facilitate navigation manoeuvres<\/strong> by <strong>military aircraft<\/strong>, assuring the <strong>highest level of Safety<\/strong>. The <strong>Air Force<\/strong> is renewing its <strong>radio-aid systems<\/strong> deployed in airfields at <strong>Zaragoza<\/strong>, <strong>Torrej\u00f3n<\/strong> <strong>de Ardoz<\/strong>, <strong>Talavera<\/strong> <strong>la Real<\/strong> and <strong>Albacete<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thales Spain in Spain has been awarded a contract for the supply of Critical Navigation Information Systems &#8211;
