{"id":7155,"date":"2019-11-18T07:23:33","date_gmt":"2019-11-18T06:23:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spazio-news.it\/?p=7155"},"modified":"2019-11-17T15:27:51","modified_gmt":"2019-11-17T14:27:51","slug":"airbus-uae-passenger-traffic-growth-to-be-served-by-larger-international-fleet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/spazio-news.it\/?p=7155","title":{"rendered":"AIRBUS: UAE PASSENGER TRAFFIC GROWTH TO BE SERVED BY LARGER INTERNATIONAL FLEET"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>fleet size<\/strong> of operators from all <strong>regions<\/strong> serving the<strong> <span class=\"st\">United Arab Emirates<\/span> &#8211;<\/strong> <strong>UAE<\/strong> is <strong>forecast<\/strong> to nearly treble to some <strong>1,730 aircraft by 2038<\/strong> from around <strong>630<\/strong> <strong>today<\/strong>, according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.airbus.com\/\">2019 Airbus Global Market Forecast &#8211; GMF<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This includes <strong>750 Small category aircraft<\/strong> like the <strong>A320<\/strong> and <strong>A321<\/strong>, and <strong>980 Medium<\/strong> <strong>&amp;<\/strong> <strong>Large<\/strong> aircraft like the <strong>A330neo<\/strong> and <strong>A350<\/strong> serving the <strong>UAE market<\/strong> in the <strong>next two decades<\/strong>; this as UAE O&amp;D passenger traffic is forecast to grow 5.8% per annum over the next 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>In the wider <strong>Middle East region<\/strong>, <strong>air passenger traffic<\/strong> is forecast to grow at a rate of 5.6% per year, which is well above the global average of 4.3% per annum. Over the same period, <strong>global freight traffic<\/strong> will see an annual increase of 3.6% in line with the average global freight traffic growth. This will stimulate a requirement for some 3,200 aircraft out of a global requirement of 39,210 new passenger and freight aircraft.<\/p>\n<p>Today, five of the <strong>World\u2019s Aviation Mega Cities<\/strong> are in the <strong>Middle East<\/strong>, with two, <strong>Dubai<\/strong> and <strong>Abu Dhabi<\/strong>, within the <strong>UAE<\/strong>. These will more than double to eleven over the next 20 years, to include such cities as <strong>Muscat<\/strong> and <strong>Kuwait<\/strong> <strong>City<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Tourism will continue to be a key growth sector for the <strong>Middle East<\/strong> with <strong>commercial aviation<\/strong> a key enabler, with figures from the <strong>World Travel &amp; Tourism Council<\/strong> indicating that tourism\u2019s contribution to <strong>Middle Eastern GDP<\/strong> is nearly 9% today.<\/p>\n<p>As the aviation network and traffic continues to develop in the <strong>Middle Eastern region<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.airbus.com\/\">Airbus forecasts<\/a> a need for more than <strong>50,000 new pilots<\/strong> and nearly <strong>52,000 new technicians<\/strong> over the next <strong>20 years<\/strong>. The commercial aviation services market as a whole is valued at some <strong>US$515 bn<\/strong> over the next 20 years in the region, principally in <strong>services<\/strong> <strong>optimising<\/strong> and maintaining aircraft availability such as <strong>maintenance<\/strong>, <strong>material management<\/strong>, <strong>technicians<\/strong> <strong>training<\/strong> and <strong>system<\/strong> <strong>upgrades<\/strong>, followed by <strong>flight operations services<\/strong> including <strong>pilot training<\/strong> or <strong>Air Traffic Management solutions<\/strong>, and finally <strong>passenger services<\/strong> like <strong>cabin upgrades<\/strong>, <strong>connectivity<\/strong> and <strong>ticketing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The fleet size of operators from all regions serving the United Arab Emirates &#8211;
