Bin Hilal<\/a> is well-known for delivering state-of-the-art-technologies<\/strong>, products and services to the UAE Defence<\/strong>. By partnering with Bin Hilal Enterprises Frequentis<\/strong> aims to increase its footprint in the Defence market<\/strong> in the UAE.<\/p>\n

One of Frequentis<\/strong>\u2019 key strengths in the civil domain<\/strong>, which is now gaining attention in the defence field, is its remote digital tower solution<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cRemote air traffic control tower (RT) and digital tower solutions have already been tested and put into operation at civil airports around the world, but the potential for defence organisations is even greater<\/em> – says Hank Ruebenstrunk, Head of Regional Sales Unit Middle East<\/strong> -. The Frequentis smartVISION system allows controllers to benefit from an enhanced view of the airfield, compared to the one from a conventional tower with additional features like object detection, tracking and infrared available.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

In October 2019, Frequentis<\/strong> completed installation of its remote digital tower solution for Santa Cruz airfield<\/strong> in Brazil<\/strong>, making it the first such system in South America<\/strong>. Here 16 high-performance, Pan-TiltZoom – PTZ<\/strong> cameras<\/strong> located around the airbase<\/strong> feed data back to a 14-screen video wall in a bespoke remote tower facility<\/strong>, creating a 360-degree panorama view of the airfield.
