Variants of the <a href=\"https:\/\/news.lockheedmartin.com\/2019-11-14-U-S-Government-Designates-Lockheed-Martins-Latest-Generation-Radar-AN-SPY-7-V-1\">SPY-7 radar<\/a> will also be utilized through partnerships with the <strong>U.S. Government<\/strong>, <strong>Spain<\/strong> and <strong>Canada<\/strong>. To date, the technology has been selected for a total of <strong>24 systems<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Equipped with the latest digital, solid-state <strong>radar technology<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=14&amp;cad=rja&amp;uact=8&amp;ved=2ahUKEwir7Z7siYPmAhUOJBoKHWR0A3kQFjANegQIARAI&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.lockheedmartin.com%2Fen-us%2Fproducts%2Faegis-combat-system%2Faegis-ashore.html&amp;usg=AOvVaw0vPVRkuqW0kEds0OCYPlIT\">Aegis Ashore Japan &#8211; AAJ<\/a> will integrate the <a href=\"https:\/\/news.lockheedmartin.com\/2019-11-14-U-S-Government-Designates-Lockheed-Martins-Latest-Generation-Radar-AN-SPY-7-V-1\">SPY-7 radar<\/a> with the <strong>Aegis Combat System<\/strong> <strong>&amp;<\/strong> <strong>protect<\/strong> Japan with a robust system that: can <strong>detect<\/strong>, <strong>track<\/strong> <strong>&amp; engage<\/strong> <strong>ballistic missile threats<\/strong>; provides several times the detection range and sensitivity of <strong>traditional SPY-1 Aegis Ashore systems<\/strong> and engages mu<strong>ltiple targets simultaneously <\/strong>with proven interceptors.<\/p>\n<p>In defense against <strong>ballistic missile<\/strong> threats, <strong>Aegis Ashore<\/strong> and <strong>SPY-7<\/strong> will provide continuous <strong>protection<\/strong> of <strong>Japan<\/strong>. As the threat landscape evolves, <strong>Aegis Ashore<\/strong> will protect the country and its citizens. <strong>Lockheed<\/strong> is leveraging programs of record for <strong>Aegis Ashore Japan<\/strong> and utilizing the existing supply chain that already supports <strong>multiple solid-state radar programs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>combat system<\/strong> for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=14&amp;cad=rja&amp;uact=8&amp;ved=2ahUKEwir7Z7siYPmAhUOJBoKHWR0A3kQFjANegQIARAI&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.lockheedmartin.com%2Fen-us%2Fproducts%2Faegis-combat-system%2Faegis-ashore.html&amp;usg=AOvVaw0vPVRkuqW0kEds0OCYPlIT\">AAJ<\/a> will be compatible with the country\u2019s current <strong>Aegis<\/strong> <strong>naval<\/strong> <strong>fleet<\/strong> for full <strong>interoperability<\/strong>.
