Spazio-News Magazine<\/a> will be media partner<\/strong> of Eurosatory 2020<\/a>, to be held in the Parc des expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte <\/strong>(Paris) from\u00a08\u00a0<\/strong>the to 12 <\/strong>the June 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We interviewed Mr. Patrick Colas Des Francs, exhibition\u2019s Director<\/strong> in order to understand how the world of Defence & Security changes <\/strong>and which technological challenges will be faced.<\/p>\n

Mr. Colas Des Francs, how did Eurosatory come about and how are you preparing for the upcoming edition?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Eurosatory was created by the French military procurement agency<\/strong> and first held in 1967 under the name Satory<\/strong>. With evolution, it became a European-level event<\/strong> and now it\u2019s the global international trade fair with over 1,800 exhibitors<\/strong> from all the countries with Defence<\/strong> and Security<\/strong> industry<\/strong>, over 98,000 professional attendees<\/strong>.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n

For the upcoming edition, we are preparing some novelties. Innovation and the most recent technologies<\/strong> will be highlighted at the exhibiting area.<\/em><\/p>\n

Attendees of Eurosatory exhibition will also take advantage of the opportunity to learn about the latest developments and main trends in defence technologies<\/strong> by visiting live demonstrations<\/strong>, a real specificity of the show. There, the products and equipment are presented in real situations<\/strong>. In addition of exhibiting companies, foreign and French institutions<\/strong> take part in the live demonstrations. <\/em><\/p>\n

In addition to stands and live demonstrations, the large conferences programme<\/strong> is prepared and will include over 70 conferences<\/strong> and Exhibitors Pitches<\/strong>. <\/em><\/p>\n

Why the event is important and what should we expect for this year?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Eurosatory exhibition<\/a> is an unmissable event as it\u2019s the place where every participant can find a solution, or a product adapted to his needs but also to discover all the most important trends in Defence and Security industry<\/strong>. As every time, over 500 new products<\/strong> & technologies<\/strong> will be <\/em>introduced to the market for the first time. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

In addition to big companies and SMEs<\/strong>, Eurosatory gives a significant boost to start-ups<\/strong>. About 80 start-ups<\/strong> will be gathered in a specially designed start-ups areas called Eurosatory LAB <\/strong>and cluster GENERATE<\/strong> at GICAT\u2019s stand<\/strong>. <\/em>They will present their solutions alongside with big companies. <\/em><\/p>\n

At Eurosatory<\/a> many companies are gathered into national pavilions. <\/em>\"EurosatoryIn 2018, 39 national pavilions were designed. Pavilions o<\/strong>f Australia<\/strong> (more than 40 companies), Azerbaijan<\/strong>, Bosnia<\/strong> and <\/em>Herzegovina<\/strong>, Colombia<\/strong> and Latvia<\/strong> participated for the first time in the exhibition\u2019s history. Pavilions of Germany<\/strong>, Serbia<\/strong>, South Korea<\/strong> and Turkey<\/strong> enlarged their exhibiting surface in 2018. The most represented countries by exhibitors were USA<\/strong> (152 exhibitors), Germany<\/strong> (118 exhibitors), United Kingdom<\/strong> (85 exhibitors), Israel<\/strong> (72 exhibitors) and Turkey<\/strong> (61 exhibitors). For 2020<\/strong>, national pavilions of Germany<\/strong>, Belgium<\/strong>, Switzerland<\/strong> and Scandinavian<\/strong> countries have already increased their exhibiting surface. Lithuanian<\/strong> industries<\/strong> will exhibit for the first time<\/strong> under national pavilion.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n

The technology is a crucial factor to enforce the security, what are the solutions presented by companies?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Security products<\/em><\/strong> and solutions<\/strong> will be highlighted at the same level as defence<\/strong> ones. Exhibitors present Emergency Evacuation Systems<\/strong>, Communication<\/strong> and Information tools<\/strong>, CBRN<\/strong> Warning<\/strong> systems<\/strong>, Crowd <\/strong>and Individuals Control products<\/strong>, solutions<\/strong> for security<\/strong> of private sector<\/strong>, medical<\/strong> equipment, intervention vehicles, detection & localization equipment<\/strong> and many other technologies from security<\/strong> domain<\/strong>. <\/em><\/p>\n

How about new geo-political scenarios and how Eurosatory can support the development of new technologies?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Eurosatory<\/a> is exhaustive exhibition that presents all the new defence and security technologies<\/strong> and products from all over the world. It follows the development<\/strong> in the domain and evolves together with industry<\/strong>. \"Spazio-NewsThe exhibition represents latest innovations<\/strong> of the technology<\/strong>. The most i<\/em>n addition to exhibiting area, over 70 conferences<\/strong> and exhibitors\u2019 pitches are organised all along 5 days<\/strong> of the exhibition. There, high-level experts<\/strong>, senior<\/strong> military<\/strong>, government<\/strong> and industry<\/strong> figures discuss key and thought-provoking topics including geopolitical issues<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n

During the five days of the exhibition, high-level conferences, pitches and demonstrations are also held on the Eurosatory Lab<\/strong>, as well as various activities and user-friendly events such as the public vote for the “Start-up of the day!”, the most attractive and interesting start-up company<\/strong> according to voters. <\/em><\/p>\n

Finally, could you please provide us an advice for who plans to attend this event?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
