{"id":5535,"date":"2019-07-26T09:14:39","date_gmt":"2019-07-26T08:14:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spazio-news.it\/?p=5535"},"modified":"2019-07-22T18:21:26","modified_gmt":"2019-07-22T17:21:26","slug":"usa-future-navy-strengthened-by-lockheed-test-experience","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spazio-news.it\/?p=5535","title":{"rendered":"USA: FUTURE NAVY STRENGTHENED BY LOCKHEED TEST EXPERIENCE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.navy.mil\">U.S. Navy<\/a> selected <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lockheedmartin.com\">Lockheed Martin<\/a> as the <strong>Combat System Ship Integration &amp; Test<\/strong> agent for the <strong>Navy\u2019s future Guided Missile Frigate &#8211; FFG(X) ship program<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe U.S. Navy will experience substantial efficiency by utilizing the existing processes, tools, and experience of the Lockheed Martin ship integration and test team<\/em> &#8211; said to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spazio-news.it\/\">Spazio-News Magazine<\/a> <strong>Chris Minster, Program Director, Lockheed Martin Surface Navy Integration Systems -. <\/strong><em>While minimizing ship impact and cost, our Ship Integration &amp; Test team will enable the successful integration of the combat system elements into the future frigate ship design.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Combat System Ship Integration &amp; Test contract<\/strong> will ensure the overall integration of the <strong>combat system elements<\/strong> into the <strong>Frigate<\/strong> <strong>ship<\/strong> <strong>design<\/strong> and validate the installation through the completion of waterfront testing. The 10-year contract will consist of one base year and nine option years\u2019 worth up to <strong>$125 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As the warfighter\u2019s needs change, <strong>Lockheed Martin<\/strong> has continuously evolved to quickly provide <strong>innovative<\/strong> and <strong>affordable capabilities<\/strong> to the <strong>fleet. Lockheed Martin<\/strong> has over <strong>40 years of ship integration <\/strong>and test experience including <strong>Aegis Ticonderoga<\/strong> class <strong>guided missile cruisers<\/strong> and <strong>Arleigh Burke<\/strong> class <strong>guided missile destroyers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As the Navy\u2019s trusted <strong>Combat System Engineering Agent &#8211; CSEA<\/strong>, Lockheed has successfully delivered and integrated <strong>Aegis and Aegis-based products<\/strong> on <strong>126 platforms<\/strong> in <strong>eight nations<\/strong>, with an additional <strong>23 under construction<\/strong> or planned. <strong>Aegis and Aegis-derived systems<\/strong> are in service in <strong>U.S. Navy cruisers<\/strong>, <strong>destroyers<\/strong>, <strong>Littoral Combat Ships<\/strong>, <strong>Coast Guard National Security<\/strong> <strong>Cutters<\/strong> and <strong>Aegis Ashore sites<\/strong>.
