GKN EXTENDS ITS BUSINESS WITH PRATT & WHITNEY

GKN Aerospace announce that it has signed an agreement between its subsidiary GKN Fokker Elmo and Pratt & Whitney – PW to continue the design, supply, and support of Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems for more than 30 aircraft engine programs.

“Since 1998 we have been in a successful and valuable relationship with Pratt & Whitney – Mr. John Pritchard, CEO of GKN Aerospace ASEA, stated at Spazio-News Magazie -. Through the signing of this long-term contract, we are proud and look forward to extending this into the next 30 years.”

Pratt & Whitney is a world leader in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power units.

The contract covers a variety of turboprop, turboshaft and turbofan engines for the complete service life of those programs.

The work will take place at GKN Fokker Elmo facilities in the Netherlands and China.

Deliveries to Pratt & Whitney’s Final Assembly Line will continue as previously defined.

This new contract builds on a more than 20-year relationship between the two companies. GKN Fokker Elmo is also a UTC Gold Supplier since June 2010, and delivers the Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems for all Pratt & Whitney Geared TurboFan – GTF engines, which are under contract with Collins Aerospace.
