ITALY-VIETNAM, SPACE: PERSPECTIVES FOR COOPERATION

It was held the workshop “Italy and Vietnam: perspectives and elements for cooperation in the space sector” at Casa Italia, 18 Le Phung Hieu, Hanoi in Vietnam.

The workshop with the aim of sharing the perspectives for a collaboration between Italy and Vietnam in space sector, organized by the Embassy of Italy to Vietnam hosted the Italian Space Agency and the main Italian Space industries like Telespazio, Thales Alenia Space and their Joint Ventures with Italian Space Agency, e-GEOS and Altec.

The event represented the occasion for mutual information sharing and experiences to foster potential future collaborations both at institutional and industrial commercial level.
e-GEOS presented its geospatial information application center and application platforms for earth digital awareness; the company was also present as industrial leader in the exploitation of the Italian COSMO-SKyMed Radar Constellation of which the company is the worldwide exclusive distributor.

COSMO-SkyMed constellation is going to evolve with the first two advanced satellites of Second Generation (CSG-1 will be launched within 2019). The new assets allow increased data supply and improved service continuity for many years to come.

This workshop took place within the context of the third edition of the “High Level Dialogue on ASEAN-Italy Economic Relations“, held in Hanoi on June 5 and 6, 2019.
